You said that if the American people were still "clamoring" for you to run for President, you would seriously consider doing so. Well, I'm clamoring for you to run for President of the United States. We need a citizen statesman to lead our nation, not just politicians who see public office as a career.
As you have said, five Doctors signed the Declaration of Independence and played instrumental roles in leading our nation at great risk to themselves and their families. Today, America needs a President who is committed to the U.S. Constitution, who has solutions for our debt crisis, and who will bring harmony to our nation.
I believe you are that person. Please become a candidate for President of The United States. You can count on my support and prayers.
I gave your book, Gifted Hands, to one son when he was admitted to medical school. I gave Think Big to my other son as he had big dreams and many possibilities. The first son is just graduating from residency. The other travels around the country helping youth. You’re words inspired and encouraged them as young men.
We need leaders who have integrity, honesty, courage, persistence, excellence, and vision. They love their country, liberty, and God. They don’t choose the easy path but the necessary one. They are willing to make sacrifices for the next generation. They have worked hard, made touch decisions, risked their lives and reputation for the hard things. You did this as the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
We need leaders who have experience in the real world—not just the political world. They have tackled huge obstacles, pioneered in their field, met challenges with grace and organization, and who have the humility to learn and grow. Your career proved you can do this again.
We need brilliant leaders—people who study hard, search out the facts, weigh one side with the other carefully, and strive to be excellent in all they do. You did this in the many surgeries you pioneered and cases you evaluated.
We need leaders who know how to respect and value each member of the team—not just the top guys with the top salaries—because they believe God has placed in each person gifts and talents that help us all succeed. You showed this kind of leadership with surgical teams..
We need a communicator who doesn’t just make empty promises and lead us into “change” or “yes we can” without knowing exactly in what direction the change would lead us and where we would end up. You are clear, forthright, honest, and candid without being cynical or disrespectful.
May God give you the wisdom on whether or not you should run. If you do, I think all hell will break loose because you don’t run with the “double think” mentality (1984), seek to win a popularity contest, or need the approval of people in order to stand tall. You know the truth in your heart, speak from your experience, honor the U.S. Constitution, and want a strong America to be here 100+ years from now. You understand the complexity and chains that surround each of us due to the debt crisis, Obamacare, and the challenges being made to traditional marriage. You are clear about the most important issues and you are not afraid to speak clearly and to the point. You don’t think just of today but the future for the many generations to come.
Please run for President. Many of us have prayed for a long time for God to raise up a leader such as you to lead our country in a way that honors God with moral integrity, intellectual clarity, and kindness. You would be able to do all three.
God bless you and God bless America—the home of the free and the brave!
